Unlike other sites where the movie score is usually given by the audience, Rotten Tomatoes has a unique rating system called the Tomatometer which only calculates movie critics’ reviews. This feature is what makes Rotten Tomatoes unique from the other rating sites, and it’s quite interesting to get two different scores versus getting one.
Because critics tend to have different standards from the regular audience, a bad Tomatometer doesn’t necessarily mean that the movie isn’t enjoyable. For instance, The Greatest Showman (2017) has a 56% on RT but it was a huge phenomenon! It had a successful box office, and everyone was singing “This Is Me”! Of course, the opposite situation happens sometimes too. But nonetheless, 100% is an impressive score!
Today, Maimovie ranked the most exceptional movies with a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. Again, it doesn’t mean that the movie is perfect and will be loved by everyone, but it has critics’ approval that it is well-made!
(*Note: We selected movies with more than 50 critics reviews on RT for this blog)
The following list was based on Maimovie on May 12, 2022, under the “Rotten Tomato: 100%” and “exceptional” Keytalks. Check out the Maimovie app or website to discover more movies and shows.
